Lana Del Rey was extremely divisive back in 2011. Would who of thought she’d be both a huge pop star and critically acclaimed by the end of the decade. I get no “Lana Del Rey is actually good” points anymore I guess but who cares. I love her breakthrough song best. The perfect amount of sad to make you feel it even if you can’t relate to the lyrics, she’s the gritty reboot of a weepy balladeer.
