While all Beach House songs are similarly excellent Drunk in LA may be peak Beach House, the band distilled down into it’s purest form. Just let all it’s elements calmly and slowly wash over you. Listen again and focus on a different part, that part will be amazing as well. Beach House has always created moods with their music but this one gets you to that place faster than any other. It’s also worth pointing out that if you think about it you could make a case for them to be the artist of the decade. They released five solid albums in the 2010s saving the best for last.
