Favorite Songs of the 2010s # 43 “Currency” by Modern Life is War

Modern Life is War

From album Fever Hunting

MLIW released two great albums and one all time great hardcore album in the 2000s and broke up in 2008. It didn’t take them too long to reform though because they came back for one more in 2013 for the album Fever Hunting. It had the same passion, the same intensity that their earlier work did but looked at life with an older viewpoint. They grew right along with me basically. Who growing older can’t relate to a line like “your friends are precious and they’re slipping away, your time is precious and it’s slipping away”?
