I’ve spent many years listening to hardcore and metal. I’ve seen lots of angry bands, I’ve been in an angry band and this piano song by Fiona Apple is still one of the most pissed things I’ve ever heard. It’s the kind of song that makes you say “Fuuucccckkkk” out loud when you first hear it. I’m not sure anyone has ever eviscerated their ex like this. The whole album is about her relationship with writer Jonathan Ames. I don’t care if that guy writes the next War and Peace, he’s always going to be the guy who was a dick to Fiona Apple.
