Dev Hynes AKA Blood Orange came to Asheville this week and put on a great show. He sang, played piano, guitar, and looked more stylish than anyone in a bucket hat has any right to be. He had a full band with him including two very talented back up singers that allowed him to play songs that have guest vocalists on the recorded versions, like the hit Best of You that featured Empress Of on the album. He made use of the whole stage and kept himself dry with an official Blood Orange bandanna, the only piece of merch he was selling. He may be the closest thing we have to Prince left.
